Hey there, I’m Kirsten Short! I’ve been living my hair dreams at Salty Blonde Salon for 4 amazing years. I had the awesome chance to assist the fabulous Stacy, the salon owner, for a year and a half, where I soaked up all kinds of knowledge and skills!

Hair is my passion, and I’m all about creating looks that make you feel gorgeous, confident, and ready to take on the world. My specialty is dimensional blonde and brunettes.

For over three decades I've been passionate about creating beautiful, healthy hair for my clients. My 36 years of experience have given me a deeper understanding of all hair types and textures and helped me hone my skills, allowing me to confidently work with any length.

I have a particular passion for short precision cuts, meticulously crafted to enhance your features.

Beyond cutting, I'm also skilled in all facets of hair color, from stunning blondes, bombshell brunettes and vibrant reds, to expertly blending and transitioning your gray hair. Hello, my name is Melissa Cleaver. I love being in the hair industry! I take every chance to educate myself on the newest techniques and the latest trends. I am truly a life-long learner!

I also teach my clients about their hair and the Aveda hair products I use, so they can recreate their own amazing styles at home. I am very detail-oriented and precise, and I take a lot of pride in my work.

I am passionate about custom hair color and blending. I enjoy the technical side of haircutting, both with shears and a razor, long hair and short pixies, and also have a special knack for curls, being a curly hair girl myself! I find all things hair so fun and fascinating!

I also have many fun things outside the salon that I am interested in, including resistance workouts, pickleball, and water-skiing. Music and dancing motivate and inspire me! I love all things fashion, shopping with my daughters and friends, oil painting on canvas with a palette knife, jewelry-making, decorating my new home, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.

I’ve been a licensed nail tech for four years, graduating from Paul Mitchell Boise.

I specialize in gel-x and builder gel overlays.

About me: I have three amazing kids that are the light of my life.

My oldest daughter is in school to be a stenographer, my son is in his apprenticeship for plumbing, and my youngest is spending her time competing in sports.

I love all things vintage, a good book, movies, ALL holidays (specifically doing holiday nails),

And spending time with my friends and family to name a few.
